4 days in Darling & Things to do!

1st Day - Welcome to entertaining Darling

  • Walk the Darling Mystery Trail and discover Darling on a fun treasure hunt. Solve the riddles and find the treasure!
  • This trail includes a visit to the Darling Museum. Do not miss out the farming and the butter-making section!
  • Enjoy a glass of local wine or a cold beer in our lush garden or by the pool and watch the birds.
  • Dinner is served for you in one of the local restaurants. We are happy to make a booking for you.

2nd Day – West Coast National Park – feel the Atlantic Ocean

  • The West Coast National Park is famous for the globally recognized bird-life and the flora. Enjoy direct access to the beaches, a stroll along the Atlantic ocean and sunbath on the beaches of the Langebaan Lagoon.
  • Go for a hike in the green or bring your Mountain Bike. We are happy to provide you with a map and some specific information.
  • Do not miss a delicious lunch at the Geelbek Restaurant. We are happy to make a booking for you.

3rd Day – Darling Wine Route – pick and choose

  • Cloof Wine Estate with a nice restaurant and stunning views over the Swartland.
  • Darling Cellars surprises with a variety of premium wines.
  • Groote Post Wine Estate and the award-winning "Hilda's Kitchen" Restaurant.
  • Ormonde Wine Estate with its award-winning wines is located in the old village within walking distance from Darling Lodge Guest House.

4th Day – Khwa ttu – San Culture and Education Centre

  • Book a guided tour (walk or drive) and discover the Koi and San heritage. Stroll through the herbarium and don't miss the changing exhibition at the show room.
  • Lunch at the Khwa ttu restaurant is always and experience, since all dishes are freshly prepared and just superbly tasty.
  • Or just ask us for a suggestion. There is much more to experience!
