1st Day - Welcome to entertaining Darling
- Walk the Darling Mystery Trail and discover Darling on a fun treasure hunt for the entire family. Solve the riddles and find the treasure!
- The trail includes a visit at the Darling Museum. Don’t miss out the farming and the butter-making section.
- Enjoy a glass of Darling wine or an ice cold Darling beer in our lush garden or by the pool and watch the busy weaver birds.
- Dinner is served in one of the local restaurants. We are happy to book a table for you.
2nd Day – West Coast National Park – pristine dune landscape
- The West Coast National Park is famous for a diverse bird life and the unique Fynbos flora.
- Enjoy a long walk on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and take a swim in the azure Langebaan Lagoon.
- Bring your hiking boots for a hike or your mountain bike for a ride.
- Visit one of the bird hides and spend some time enjoying the quiet, as you look out at the feathered residents in their natural habitat.
- The Geelbek Restaurant in the park offers delicious lunch options.
3rd Day – Darling Wine Route – pick and choose
- Explore Darling’s award-winning wine gems!
- Visit our five award winning wine estates Groote Post, Cloof, Darling Cellars, Ormonde and Contreberg and don’t miss the Darling Wine Shop.
- Cruise the scenic Darling wine lands nestled between the Swartland Platteland and South Africa’s Atlantic West Coast.
4th Day – !Khwa ttu – San Culture and Education Centre
- The San are one of the last hunter-gatherer societies left on earth. The story of the San is one that many people across the world might not know, but it is one that everyone will recognise. It is the story of humankind. At !Khwa ttu, the San tell this story, in their own words.
- Discover the San heritage on a guided tour, hear the story of human origins, learn how to read tracks in the sand and re-discover some of the powerful knowledge of the bush pharmacy.
- Explore the exhibition at the new museum or go on a ride on a mountain bike trail.
- The !Khwa ttu restaurant offers a bistro-style menu with freshly prepared and locally sourced food.
