NEW - Proud Partner of Cape Country Routes!

Cape Country Routes (CCR) is a network of over 30 carefully selected accommodation and activities in South Africa's Western and Eastern Cape.

We from Darling Lodge Guest House were approached in early 2022 by CCR and invited to join this group of private owned and managed tourism businesses.

CCR was started in 1997 by a group of enterprising independent hotels and country inns, to encourage visitors to explore the scenic, romantic and historic routes between the two harbour cities – Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.

Darling Wine Route

Friends where on a road trip driving the West Coast Road R27.

They spontaneously decided to stay with us, set the indicator, turned off at the Yzerfontein crossroad and cruised the Darling hills on the R315. After check-in at the new Pool Suite we all enjoyed an aperitivo al fresco.

After catching up and chatting about Darling beers and wines they decided to drive the www.darlingwineroute.co.za and discover the unknown wine gems.
