The journey begins with a private boat tour around Dassen Island, exploring a rugged coastline shaped by the Benguela Current and rich maritime history. Cape Country Routes (CCR) is a network of over 30 carefully selected accommodation and activities in South Africa's Western and Eastern Cape.

We from Darling Lodge Guest House were approached in early 2022 by CCR and invited to join this group of private owned and managed tourism businesses.

CCR was started in 1997 by a group of enterprising independent hotels and country inns, to encourage visitors to explore the scenic, romantic and historic routes between the two harbour cities – Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
